It was much more than just a seminar for CECH credits. It was the opportunity to exchange ideas and practice tips with fellow podiatrists from around the state who have the same dedication and passion for the profession you do. It was a chance to reconnect with old friends and to make new ones. The Annual Membership Meeting is about your future! Last year we had an Added bonus! on Friday evening from 5:30-7:30 we offered a cadaver lab with Dr. Jim Wilton! In "Where's the Nerve?", Dr. Wilton covered the major nerve tracts from the thigh down in the lower leg, indicate known compression points, demonstrate nerve wrapping and offer clinical diagnostic pearls. Our Welcome Reception and Opioid Education: Our special guest speaker was Michael McNett, MD, Medical Director for Chronic Pain, Aurora Greater Milwaukee South, WI and Physician Faculty, Opioid Prescribing Education Wisconsin Medical Society. 2 CECHs were offered for this session. With the current opioid epidemic plaguing the nation, providers are avoiding opioids as much as possible. This course was developed to help providers optimize non-opioidtreatment for pain while the safest and most effective pain treatment possible, promoting patient satisfaction and outcomes.
There was also an additional (optional) Golf Outing! at Arnold Palmer Course at Geneva National.
This event was open to all DPMS, residents and students.
