Seeking Position

My name is Daniel DeLestry and I am currently the Chief Podiatry Resident at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, completing a PMSR/RRA residency with extensive surgical and clinical training. As part of my role, I provide on-call podiatric surgical services at three major Level I trauma centers across the Chicagoland area, managing complex forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle trauma, as well as diabetic limb salvage and reconstructive cases. These experiences have strengthened my clinical judgment, surgical precision, and ability to perform effectively under pressure.

I earned my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in the top 25% of my class with a 3.67 GPA. Recently, I passed all 4 ABFAS ITE exams (RRA Didactic, RRA CBPS, Foot Didactic, Foot CBPS). Additionally, my research on patient expectations following bunion surgery has been presented nationally at the ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference and APMA National Meeting, reflecting my commitment to advancing evidence-based practice and improving patient education.

Fluent in Spanish and conversationally proficient in Swedish, I have served as a medical interpreter and spent 4 months volunteering internationally at a hospital in Quito, Ecuador while studying abroad. Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active as a Chicago Marathon pacer and volunteer.
